Just a warning to all: the metal earrings on the Girls of Many Lands react with the vinyl and turn it green! This also happens with older Barbie dolls and there is not a cure.
It starts in the earring holes, but it can spread to the whole face. I was lucky with Spring Pearl and I removed her earrings with pliers when I noticed it, before it got too serious.
As most of the GoML dolls have earrings, I would recommend removing them ASAP before your doll's face turns green.

How long have you had your Spring Pearl? Has anyone else had this happen? I can't check DD's doll until tomorrow because they are asleep. Thanks for the alert!

I've only had Spring Pearl for a few months, but I just noticed it recently.
Judging by what happens with the Barbie dolls, it happens even if they're never removed from the box.

I only have Spring Pearl and it was only around her ears, BUT a similar, well-known reaction happens with older Barbie dolls that have metal earrings, and that spreads to cover the cheeks or more if they're not removed.

I also have Spring Pearl and Just ran downstairs to check her ears....I must say there was a TINY amount of green that would not have been noticeable if I wasn't looking for it. I am not even sure that this is from the reaction although it could be...I have had her since the girls of many lands first came out and this is the first I have heard or looked to notice it. However, I am not going to go and pull out the earrings. My fear of what would happen if I did that is much greater than a little green...at least for now!

If you access the Ebay Doll Discussion Board, they have a "Sticky" at the top that gives hints on getting rid of the green ear, and a few before and after pictures. The examples are all Barbie Dolls, but you might find the hints useful.
Here's a link to the board.

I have had my Spring Pearl for about 3 years and there is no green at all. Maybe yours is defective?

Just checked dd's Spring Pearl, just around the earring post it's a little green. We'll definitely keep an eye on it.
